bullet2pm - 5pm Mosaic Making workshop
Discover the techniques used in making the 'Our Journey' mosaic trail. This is your chance to have a go at making a mosaic of your own. Suitable for adults and children.

bulletLaunch of Mosaic Trail
A short (20/30minute) walk around the water-side linked by six mosaics that have been specialty commissioned as part of this project. The images for the mosaics have been created by local schoolchildren and residents in a series of 7 workshops.

bullet1pm - 6pm Arts, Crafts & Heritage stalls
An array of fascinating displays, exhibitions and demonstrations from local artists, crafts-people, local history, wildlife groups and more.
bulletLaunch of new amphitheatre on the waterside.
This is an area specially landscaped for this project which will be used for outdoor performances in future Summers.
bulletMusic and dance from local groups, including a Summer School project being run specially for this event - children from Gurnell Grove estate have been working with Common Ground Sign Dance Theatre to develop a music & dance piece for this event.

Let the kids have a ride in the traditional Dray being pulled by these magnificent horses.

Canal Boats

1pm - 3.30pm and 4.30pm - 7pm, Make A Narrow Boat workshop
Help construct and decorate a replica canal boat out of card and wax. Workshop continues tomorrow and finishes with a ceremonial boat launching’ Suitable for children aged 8-16 years. Free, places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

bulletCanal Tales
These secret stories have traveled the length and breadth of the canal and river network, being passed on from generation to generation. Now it’s your children’s turn to be captivated by their magic spell.

1pm - 7pm Funfair Rides Saturday 3.30pm - 4.30pm and Sunday 2 - 3pm

bulletArts & crafts workshops
Including one in which the kids will make a narrow boat.
bulletGuided walks - Elthorne jewels
Discover the local canal and it’s wildlife on a series of guided walks led by Ealing Parks and Countryside Service and the Brent River and Canal Society. No booking necessary. Walks will start at the Information Point, please arrive at least five minutes early.
Saturday 2.15pm - 2.35pm, 3.15pm - 3.35pm, 4.15pm - 4.35pm and Sunday 2pm - 2.20pm, 3pm - 3.20pm, 5pm - 5.20pm.
