Ealing-web now has over 400 pages of information and photographs relating to Ealing.Ealing Summer Events The Ealing Summer Festival was the best ever. If you were unlucky enough to miss any of the following events then photographs, panoramas and information on the events may be found on the following web pages on the Ealing-web site under 'recent events'.Craft Fayre - Ealing Common 15th July (http://ealing-web.com/events/craft_fayre.htm) South Acton Carnival - South Acton Estate 2nd September (http://ealing-web.com/south_acton_carn'val.htm) Blues 'n' Groove Party - Walpole Park 5th August (http://ealing-web.com/events/blues_and_groove.htm) The Ealing Jazz Festival - Walpole Park 6th to 13th of August (http://ealing-web.com/jazz_festival.htm) The Orange Room (TVU tent) - Walpole Park 6th to 13th August (http://ealing-web.com/orange_room.htm) Fuller's Jazz fringe - Ealing Pubs 16th July to the 13th August (http://ealing-web.com/fuller's_jazz_fringe.htm)
We attended all these events, which goes some way towards explaining why there was no newsletter in August. The Canal and Heritage Fair Watch out for the Canal and Heritage Fair (Ealing-web part-sponsored event) taking place in Elthorne Park and on the Grand Union Canal nearby during the week-end of September 16th and 17th. This event does not occur every year so try not to miss it. It is advertised as two days of fun for all the family - yes there is also a beer tent and music. Opening hours are 1pm to 7pm entry is free.Information/maps/schedules on the event may be found at Canal and Heritage Fair(http://ealing-web.com/canal_heritage.htm) Photographs and panoramas of the event will appear on these pages. Pubs Directories The pubs directory is now being extended to include information on pub facilities and in particular disabled access information through our questionnaire. Many thanks to all the pub managers who found time to fill in and return our questionnaire. The new format for the pubs directory has so far been used in the Hanwell Pubs section.Selected local brewers will be financing a 'notice board' giving details of events which will be occurring in their Ealing pubs.We are also asking you your opinion in the pubs questionnaire - feel free to fill in this questionnaire and send it to us. It will become part of the database as the information arrives, making this a more useful facility.Panoramas The famous Ealing-web panoramas are also now been extended. Following difficulties with the PhotoVista web site, which supplies the plug-in for viewing the panoramas, we will be including the plug-in for PC's directly on Ealing-web to avoid future problems of this type.Tourist Pages We have increasingly been receiving enquiries from visitors and students who are thinking of joining us here in Ealing. The Tourist Pages are being extended to include information on accommodation, travel and employment to fill this need.Ealing History As we are not historians, we will welcome any contributions from local schools and colleges with historical content to supplement our photographs of old Ealing in the Ealing Historypages. (http://ealing-web.com/ealing_history) Businesses The web site is now benefiting from over 1800 requests for pages per week so it is worth considering advertising with us now. This is good value compared with a postage stamp sized advert for one week in the local newspaper. We have now included links to businesses in Ealing which have their own web pages (£50 per year) in the Ealing_pages section to supplement our business directoryMany Thanks for your continued support Steve Walker Logical Software Ltd. and Ealing-web.com If you would prefer not to receive this newsletter, please 'reply' by e-mail with the word 'unsubscribe' in the title. |
