Featuring up-to-date arrangements of 1940’s and 50’s swing standards, this outfit more than adequately fills an oft-neglected niche. Popular Ellington and Basie small group pieces should be well represented in the programme. 2.l5pm Matt Ross Trio Matt Ross (piano) Peter Morgan (bass) Don Lawson (drums) Matt Ross inevitably delights with a sophisticated musical tour de force.
