Cuff Billett (trumpet) Roy Maskell (trombone) Dick Cook (clarinet/leader) Chris Satterley (piano) Micky Ashman (bass) Dave Evans (drums)

For nearly 30 years Dick Cook’s Jambalaya has faithfully promoted the New Orleans style. Returning to the line-up this year is experienced trumpeter Cuff Billett.

Dick Pearce (trumpet/f lugelhorn) Pete Hurt (tenor sax) Ken McCarthy (piano) Thomas Pedersen (bass) Gerry Boyce (drums)

Composer/pianist Ken McCarthy has scored a round-up of less-heard standards especially to highlight the talents and individualistic sounds of Dick Pearce and Pete Hurt. Completed by the Pederson and Boyce rhythm team, the band offers a highly listenable and emotionally accessible brand of jazz.

730pm The Ronnie Scott Legacy John Critchinson Quartet

Pat Crumly (saxophone/flute) John Critchinson (piano) Tim Wells (bass) Tristan Mailliot (drums)

A complete show by itself! Remembering Ronnie Scott’s music and humour, The Ronnie Scott Legacy includes standards and compositions by major performers to appear at the Club. Anecdotes and jokes from Ronnie’s own collection are recalled by his long standing pianist John Critchinson.

8.45pm Jack Honeyborne (piano) in the Bar Tent

9.l5pm Brian Lemon Quintet

Ronnie Hughes (trumpet) Roy Willox (alto sax) Brian Lemon (piano) Dave Green (bass) Ronnie Verrell (drums)

A dream rhythm section underpins two illustrious front-line players who, together with Ronnie Verrell, were contemporaries in the Ted Heath Orchestra in the early 50s. In addition, the eminence of versatile stylists Brian Lemon and Dave Green is exemplified by being first choice to accompany top visiting American jazz players.

This evening’s concerts are supported by Kerr Recruitment.
